This course introduces the role of an Economist working for DESNZ. You’ll explore what qualifications and skills you’ll need to succeed in this role, plus you’ll gain insight into day-to-day responsibilities, so that you can get a real feel for what a Civil Service professional working in this area does. The course also covers what career progression looks like and provides insight into the challenges, rewards, and benefits associated with a career in the Civil Service. Most importantly, you’ll complete a real-world activity, simulating a task an Economist would do in their day-to-day, and you’ll reflect on whether this could be a career for you.
